From the family of Ardith T.

Dear Staff,

We would like to let you know how much we appreciate all the care and concern you showed our mother (and grandmother), Ardith, during the three years she was a resident of MediLodge of Yale. From the very first day, everyone tried to make her (and us) feel at home.

She enjoyed attending all the activities you provided on a weekly basis, but especially enjoyed being in the Special Olympics, attending the yearly Harley Motorcycle Picnics, Pig Roasts and of course the monthly Birthday Bash with John Murray. But she also enjoyed the little extra things you did for her from painting her fingernails, taking her on an outing to the dollar store or just stopping in and spending some time talking with her. She considered you her friends!

You also became like a second family to us. When we visited mom, we enjoyed visiting with all of you and listening to you talk about your families and outside activities. Even when mom’s assigned staff was changed, you still stopped in to talk with her and us. It didn’t matter if you were assigned to a different group of people, if we asked you something you would stop and answer our questions/concerns. If you didn’t have the answer, you would go out of you way to find it for us. You didn’t just consider her a patient, you truly cared for her. Everyones’ thoughtful and giving nature truly helped us through the difficult times.

Because of all your wonderful staff, you helped make the last few years as enjoyable as possible – both for her and for us. Her years at MediLodge are filled with some great memories (and photographs). We will never forget your kindness!! Thank you again.
